Gil Penchina was the afternoon keynote speaker at the VisualMedia 012 Conference + Expo presented by Visual Media Alliance. Gil Penchina is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor and appropriately, his topic will be “Confessions of a Serial Entrepreneur Angel.” Gil will share his stories, sitting on both sides of the table, as a serial entrepreneur and prolific angel and begin to understand what makes him, and our local economy, tick.

Gil was CEO of Wikia, now a top 50 website and was part of the early team at eBay, where he was VP for Business Development and then Global Expansion, as well as a General Manager in Europe. Before eBay, Gil worked at General Electric, Bain & Co. and started two small technology companies. He has a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Kellogg. In addition, Gil has been an active angel investor in 45 companies over the last 12 years including firms such as LinkedIn, Paypal, Evite, ZipRealty, Plusmo, Flowdock, Betable, SiteJabber and many other consumer and SMB Internet services.
